| Title | Cyber-Physical Systems in Industry 4.0: Enhancing Automation and Smart Manufacturing |
| Research Area | Cyber-Physical Systems |
| Abstract | Industry 4.0 represents the fourth industrial revolution, characterized by the integration of cyber-physical systems (CPS), Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence into manufacturing. CPS enables real-time monitoring, decision-making, and autonomous control, making manufacturing systems more adaptive and efficient. This paper explores the role of CPS in Industry 4.0 with a focus on smart factories, predictive maintenance, and human–machine collaboration. A case study of CPS-based predictive maintenance is presented, showing improved production reliability and reduced downtime. The paper concludes by highlighting challenges such as cybersecurity, interoperability, and workforce readiness. |
