| Title | Green Hydrogen Energy Systems: Production Technologies, Applications, and Sustainability Challenges |
| Research Area | Green Hydrogen |
| Abstract | The global push toward decarbonization has intensified interest in clean and sustainable energy carriers. Green hydrogen, produced using renewable energy sources through water electrolysis, has emerged as a promising solution for reducing carbon emissions across multiple sectors. Unlike grey or blue hydrogen, green hydrogen offers a zero-emission pathway for energy storage, transportation, and industrial applications. This paper presents a comprehensive study of green hydrogen energy systems, focusing on production technologies, storage and distribution methods, and key application domains. The paper also examines economic, technical, and infrastructural challenges associated with large-scale adoption. Analysis indicates that green hydrogen can play a critical role in achieving net-zero targets, particularly in hard-to-abate sectors such as heavy industry and long-distance transportation. |
