| Title | Blockchain-Based Secure Electronic Health Record Sharing: A Privacy-Preserving Framework for Interoperable Healthcare Systems |
| Research Area | Blockchain |
| Abstract | The rapid digitization of healthcare has resulted in the widespread adoption of Electronic Health Records (EHRs), electronic prescriptions, laboratory systems, medical imaging platforms, and other digital health services. Although these technologies improve the availability and efficiency of medi-cal information, healthcare organizations frequently operate heterogeneous systems that make secure and seamless information exchange difficult. Patient information may be distributed across hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, clinics, pharmacies, insurance providers, and specialist centers. Conventional centralized architectures can create challenges related to interoperability, privacy, access control, data ownership, auditability, and single points of failure. Blockchain technology has emerged as a potential mechanism for improving trust and traceability in healthcare information exchange because it provides distributed transaction recording, cryptographic verification, and tamper-evident audit trails. |
